I love gifting. The crinkly noise of wrapping paper, meticulously matching your present based on the recipient, their reaction. How Paula Deen is to butter, I am to Christmas. Every year Manhattan is treated to earlier dates to prepare for the holidays. Lucky for me, I finished my Christmas shopping in late November and sent out a hefty number of Christmas cards to spread some holiday love. In case you have absolutely no idea how to go about gifting your friends, since the overabundance of gift guides is a tad overwhelming, we here at OutSpokenNYC figured we’d tell you what we want. Now don’t go getting us anything, but here’s just a taste of what we’re hoping to see under our tree, based purely off of our personality types.

Read through our personal guide and let us know if we’ve given you spark of inspiration for any of your holiday purchases.

Well said.

  1. Lisa Frank sweatshirt: NEED I SAY MORE?
  2. Yoga/Meditation Retreat: With a year chockfull of eye-opening perspective, hard work and not nearly enough “me-time,” a retreat far from Manhattan has quintessential appeal.
  3. Coach’s Blogger BagHave a fashionista blogger bud? Emily Johnston of Fashion Foie Gras designed a tote with Coach tailored specifically for the modern day blogger on-the-go. With compartments for your shoes, digital SLR camera, laptop and iPhone accessories, you’ll be prepared to cover all your bases and look sleek doing so. So chic (c’est la vie…)! Sold exclusively at Coach.com and perfect for a day look.
  4. Blender: Don’t ask me how I’ve done it (the dish-washer…) but I’ve broken two blenders in one year. To get a jump start on my morning work-out routine, I think a new blender is order. Need to get my protein somehow, eh? Why not kill two birds with one stone and make it the Cuisinart Soup Maker & Blender! Since I’ve been on a soup kick at work on the daily (damn you Dean & Deluca!), I can save some cheddar and bring in my own homemade concoctions.
  5. Opalescent tumblers from Anthropologie: Ever since I assisted an event back when I was dabbling my hand in PR, I’ve been obsessed with these tumblers. After snagging four, I’ve been eyeing another set for my future dream apartment and wont let go until I get ‘em!

  1. Bands for my TIKKR watch: I’m in LOVE with my TIKKR watch. I can’t wear it enough. I have bands in blue, black, gray and white, but I need MORE! How am I supposed to accessorize with all of my clothes without having ever color? They don’t yet have a true teal band, which is problematic for my wardrobe, but I suppose I can suffice with having every other color of the rainbow.
  2. Gift Certificate to Daredevil TattooI’ve been craving a new tattoo for months now, but they are so damn expensive. Big ones anyway. And I’m ready to go big or go home. I have it all planned out, but every time I start to save up I end up having to put the cash to another (more practical) use. If I get a gift certificate, I’ll have no choice but to start my next “body of work.”
  3. iPhone friendly winter gloves from Etry TouchI’ve had an iPhone for a few years now, and I’ve come to the realization that it’s hard to type and walk while holding your gloves in your mouth, and the gloves that I cut the fingers off of last year didn’t look so good. Aside from most of the big chunky ugly gloves I’ve seen that work for iPhones, Etre Touchy has some really cute and fun options for the touchscreen lovers.
  4. Frames from The Picture Wall Company: I love art displayed in this way, and I’ve been dying to paint my own series that is housed together in a collection of separate simple frames.
  5. Bacon of the Month Club: Now everyone knows I loves me some bacon. I’m not much of a cook, but I think I’m ready to learn in 2012. What better way to get started than with your favorite food, right? I saw this a few weeks ago on the Food Network’s holiday edition of The Best Thing I Ever Ateand thought… why has no one signed me up for this yet?!

  5. Top Man Textured Cardigan
